Joe Singleton does his research before he goes to buy a new piece of equipment and when it came to a volumetric mixer, the process was no different.  “We started looking at this in 1998 and after studying each of the manufacturers and looking at the different technologies, we came to the conclusion there was only one company for us and that was Cemen Tech.” 

It was in 2005 that Joe Singleton Company placed its first order for a new Cemen Tech MCD10-150 with a Tuff Tech bin.  “The steel reinforced Tuff Tech bin made sense to us,” states Joe.  Since then, he has not only grown his business, but has purchased a second unit made of Tuff Tech material.  Joe goes on to say, “In addition to its strength, the patented steel reinforced plastic aggregate bin is easy to keep clean.”

The whole concept of trying something new is not foreign to Joe, as he started his own excavating company in 1982 and expanded it to the point where he could serve his own needs by producing his own concrete.  Projects such as the one pictured here are a prime example of projects that could be expedited and become more profitable through the use of their Cemen Tech MCD10-150.  “We no longer have to wait for concrete to be delivered as we work on our schedule.  In addition, the units have allowed us to take on larger commercial projects that we may have had to turn down years ago.”

The concrete business has been good for Joe Singleton Company, as they produce 4,000 cubic yards on an annual basis.  It ha also paved the way for other opportunities. Single Excavating likes producing their own concrete as it removes their dependency on outside sources for the materials.  Joe states, “We do not have to worry about the quality of our concrete and whether it’s too dry or wet.  We can control our own destiny as it relates to the projects we take on.”
