Law and legal practice may be one of the furthest things from delivering concrete unless you are Mark Idler, Barrister & Solicitor with the Long Family Law Group. Marks partner, Mark Godbout started a concrete business in 2005 under the name of Mini Batch Concrete and grew their business to a point in 2008 whereby they had eighteen barrel mixers. Being in the barrel mixer business was profitable but they soon came to recognize that customers would either over order or under order which was not only an inconvenience for them as a supplier but was expensive for the customer. Enter their purchase of a Cemen Tech MCD8-150 and they are not only able to make their operation more efficient and profitable they are able to save their customers a buck or two as well. They were also able to expand their customer base to include high volume customers such as contractors.
Another benefit that became clear early on as well was the high quality of the concrete they were delivering. Contractors would now start to request the Cemen Tech mixer. Mark states, “At one job site, a contractor (who has been in business for ten years) told me, “it was the best concrete he has ever worked with.” Mark goes on to say that “we get other comments as well such as, there are no clumps in the mix and it is fresh and has great workability”.Mini Batch continues to expand their business in retailing concrete using their motto of “ANYWHERE, ANYTIME” as a guide line and Cemen Tech equipment. As Mark states, “Every aspect of our purchase, the onsite training in Edmonton and our salesman’s continuing follow up have been superb”. “We enthusiastically expect to order another Cemen Tech MCD for delivery soon.”
The employee owners of Cemen Tech congratulate Mini Batch Concrete on their expansion and look forward to being a part of their future success.
